TuneBench

Tune your guitar, bass or violin

A precise tuner for guitar, bass, ukulele, violin and more: it listens through the microphone and shows how many cents each string is off. With alternate tunings, any A4, reference tones and a metronome.

When a string is in tune

Hold the note inside ±3 cents for half a second: the card lights up green, the string gets a tick, and the next string is suggested.

Reference tone

Press the speaker next to a string to hear its note for a few seconds, tuned to your A4. Press again to stop.

Keys: Space start or stop, 1–8 pick a string, A automatic, P reference tone.

Tuning log

Your sound stays here. The microphone signal is analysed in this browser, a few times a second, and immediately forgotten: nothing is recorded, uploaded or sent anywhere, and the page makes no outside requests. Once opened, TuneBench also works offline.
