The black-and-white version from the blog comics. Model sheet:
Cherries come in pairs, and so do ears. MeetBench took the hint: two cherries on a shared stem became a headset, the left one grew a microphone, and the right one quietly got a camera lens.
In one pass it checks the camera, the microphone, the headphones and the network: ping and jitter, a short download and upload, latency while uploading, and whether the UDP traffic calls prefer gets through. Video and sound are analysed in your browser and never recorded or sent anywhere; the network tests go to Cloudflare, and Google’s public STUN server tells it your address.
In the comics the cherries are always delighted and always together: they cheer on the bench with all four hands. For their induction the microphone was moved to where it belongs, right by the mouth, as on the logo, and the face was shifted off the shadow of the cherry so you can see both eyes.
